Political Party & Political Bullshit

Bain capital, offshore accounts, and tax records are for the Romney campaign what birth certificates are for Obama: distractions. I am not dismissing any of these issues, I’m merely saying each side is using them as a smokescreen to cloud the public from each party’s shortcomings. Jack Cafferty of CNN spoke out on both sides for continuing to publish these negative campaign commercials. He had this to say, “They come at us from both sides and are loud, obnoxious, boorish, and increasingly lack anything resembling dignity. And most of them are irrelevant.” The reason most voters, especially young voters, are ill-equipped in the political conversation is because of both sides’ inability to speak plainly. They dance around the issues that, during this election year, are at the forefront of everyone’s thoughts. I understand you want to get elected or re-elected, but remember what your role is as president of this nation. You’re a leader, a role model, and a source of hope in a future that economists and meteorologists agree is cloudy to say the least.
